Toddler Bible and Simple Education

 Toddler Learning Ideas...

My favorite store is Mardels for educational supplies and homeschool curriculum.  Visiting this store is a summer time treat, as we don't have one in the mountains back home.

I came across some learning ideas for my 16 month old for a basic academic start...

1. Toddler Bible. I recommend the Beginner's Bible for preschool aged children, and especially their free animated cartoons on YouTube, which are a wonderful learning resource we have already started.  However, little Acacia (her internet name) needed a Bible that covered lots of important stories, while meeting her level.

I found this:   Click here to buy on Christian Book

I love how colorful this Bible is, while also being a sturdy board book.  It covers a lot of biblical stories and is more advanced for her age.

2. Alphabet Flash Cards- Any will do!  I say the letter sounds instead of the letter name.

3.  My First Bible Verses

4.  Counting Caterpillar

Little Acacia is also behind in her speech, so we have been trying a free Otismo speech therapy app. I am still on the lookout for more apps and online options if she continues to have delays.

I have heard of a curriculum for home use called Teach Town, which is used in special needs programs in public schools.

At 18 months, this program has a curriculum called Meta Play.

I hope you enjoyed our post and how we are starting our little toddler out academically at home!
Again, Acacia is her internet name for safety, as my older children always had an alias when they were younger.
