Life, Recovery Update, Shared Homeschool Resources, Blessed Days...

Our Montessori map work. Currently, we place one of my worksheets from here: Montessori Map Printables into a sheet protector cover. We then use color coded buttons or bears to match the continents of the world and name them.

I got this cute and amazing counting laminated book off of Ebay. This is a great resource for pre-made file folder games for early learning and older grades! She places the crayons with numbers on the correct box (laminated and velcroed for you), We also used play dough to place on the counter dots for extra counting/learning number amounts practice.

Do a dot markers with a Walmart mini painting canvas.

We only really watch vintage Disney or cartoon classics. Here we had lunch and little Archie was enjoying Oliver and Company with his sister.

 Montessori baby toy. Object permanence.

Playing in the yard,

Here I am drains out and recovering from surgery nicely. Well, I did have a few bad days, which ended me up in the ER. Severe chest pain wasn't a blood clot or heart issue from surgery- praise the Lord, it was just a deep sternum bruise. Ha ha. But seriously, it hurt so bad and its finally feeling better. I still am very weak and can't go out for that long, can't do much for four more weeks, and am catching up on all my vitamins. I weaned off all pain meds, which feels great and I am detoxing with Octavia shakes and veggies.  (For those who don't know, I'm not ashamed to confirm I had a full abdominoplasty with muscles stitched up my entire abdomen to my sternum.
I still plan on working hard to lose the last 15 pounds or so from Archie. Recovery is coming first. For those who wonder if the surgery is worth it--- yes it is. So if you need the surgery, don't think diet and exercise alone will work- it will not. I promise you. If you had my issues, the only solution was surgery and then the added benefits of a normal diet and exercise regime.

Our oldest daughter's birthday cake, which she made with her sister. We had family over and Jer smoked a large brisket. The food was amazing and it was special fellowship and fun.

Now, on to some homeschooling resources. I've been making a lot in my store and am sharing some resources from other mamas.
A freebie is my new category, Christian unit studies about classic fables. I just made, the Ugly Duckling unit study for preschool, kinder, and first grades. I will be making the Tortoise and the Hare soon.
Students learn about the Bible, read the literature, complete science and literacy activities, and have art projects with the FREE units.

Teachers pay teachers is a wonderful homeschool resource. Sign up for free with your email. My store is on there, along with other classroom teachers and homeschool mamas. Thousands of free resources and affordable paid resources for literally any topic and grade.

I am sharing a resource I made for Addi with leveled math. We love placing worksheets in sheet protectors with clasp folders and using washable markers to complete worksheets day after day.
Fun Hands-on Learning Math Proficiency Level A

Tip for encouragement: If you are called to homeschool, you can do it! The early years are the most precious, most beautiful time in your child's life and especially spent with you. It is such a gift to them and yourself. All the homeschool years actually. I also love Christian school, as we do that with our older kiddos currently.
But Mama, you can homeschool!
You can even work and homeschool. You can especially work from home and homeschool.
If you are called to this, walk in it faithfully.
Days might be hard. Others might not understand, You, follow Jesus. Its the sweetest, purest, most precious gift and instruction from the Lord to be busy in your home loving your children and husband.
Titus 2... Just read the whole book!

I loved this quote I found.
Until next time...
