A day in my life...

A lot of moms make YouTube videos; we aren't there yet, but I am writing about a day in my life.

I always take encouragement from daily life videos that are Christian, wholesome, and encouraging to homemakers. This is meat for me, in walking out my calling.

Youtube channels I watch are 3 Rivers Homestead, Chad and Erin Paine, and The Webster Family (Part of the Bates family if you ever watched their reality show on TV).

My am:

Usually I wake up and pour my coffee with a tiny amount of milk or cream until I eat. (under 100 calories is what research says to not break your fast). I have pushed my way up from 14 hr fasting daily to 15 hrs. The goal is 16; as doctors say this is most beneficial for your health. I don't eat until my intermittent fasting window begins. Usually, I'm hungry. I'll make myself an omelette with meat and veggies, along with my family, scrambled eggs, eggs with toast, homemade waffles or pancakes, and sometimes cereal. The am's are my time to clean the kitchen, table, and living room for the day.

Older kiddos are off to school, Jeremy starts working at home or flying. The little kids play in the playpen with their toys while I do dishes and clean up the kitchen.

Then, we transition downstairs. They continue to play with the dollhouse or kitchen, I get ready for the day, and usually try to get some laundry done.

Mid morning- early afternoon:

Baby lays down for a nap with a bottle of milk. My K4 student and I work on homeschooling. We start with Morning Basket time reading books and the Bible or complete a Bible lesson/worksheet/craft. If we have a movie to watch with Bible (Beginners Bible Episodes, Nest Entertainment) we watch this during lunch and quiet time.

Then, she reads her phonics book to me, does some handwriting, and math. We usually transition to more puzzles or hands-on learning, and then I take a few minute rest.

Lunch:

I prepare lunch and wake the baby up. My K4 student plays outside and I'll hold the baby outside for some sunshine. (Can't wait until he walks). When its warmer, we plan on watering flowers and cleaning up our yard. After eating and outdoor time, I transition to more diaper changes, another bottle of milk, water, or juice, and quiet time.

We rest. I listen to an audible book, devotional, read my Bible, plan my calendar, journal,  or take a nap with my littles.

After Quiet Time:

We wake up and have more schooling time and outdoor time. I continue to clean and prep. Sometimes, I 'll pick an extra deep cleaning chore.

Older kids get home. We usually all hangout together as a family and help older kids with snacks or homework. We might go outside or run an errand, go to the park when its warmer.

Mid Afternoon: Dinner Prep

Evening:

Dinner

Dinner Cleanup

Bathtime/teeth-brushing for littles and bedtime routine

Prep for next day of learning

Bedtime:

Putting littles to bed

Jeremy reads them a book or two

He prays over them and tucks them in or I do.

We have an early evening turn in. Older kids get ready for their next day and responsibilities, packing meals, more homework, etc.

I will again read my Bible, listen to an audible book, and have some computer time where I create worksheets, follow homemaking blogs, etc.

I fall asleep and feel ready for the next day!

I hope this helps. This is my normal schedule; and I wouldn't change it for the world.

I do have a cleaning house team come help me with so many kids. This is a blessing for me and they are wonderful ladies who have helped our home stay in order.

When homeschooling, you can't be a full time cleaner. With so many kids, dishes, laundry, meals, regular clean up, and sometimes deep cleaning is enough on top of everything else.

We also have a full day of packing before co-op and making lunches.
