A Night Away and Some Fun

I had a blast with some friends from church at the Anne Wilson concert. My girls had their group of friends as well. We had so much fun driving to downtown Denver and staying in a hotel. The concert was so fun and I loved the opening artist, Jordan Rowe. I bought his shirt to suppport local farmers as well.

My sweet husband subbed my homeschool co-op class for me. Great man right there. And he and our oldest son handled our littles. On the way back up to the mountains; which I am so glad we live in the mountains btw... We had a blast at my old stomping grounds- Denver West. The girls and I went to Barnes and Noble and Old Navy. I love looking at books in Barnes and Noble. When I was a teen, my mom used to drop me off; I would get a cup of coffee and sit and read for hours. Now, I listen to Christian fiction mystery books on audible for fun.

Anyways, then we ate at Q,Doba. Blessed times to get out with the older girls. And I'm so thankful for our culture here. Though the city is fun, I am no city girl. My husaband is no city boy.

Around the house, I have some fun projects I am working on.

My husband already put up the Christmas tree! Our middle schooler is on top of decorating with being homeschooled this year. Don't tell anyone, but she is competing with the neighbors to have the best decorated house on the block haha.

We love our home. It is such a gift from God. Sometimes I want land, but my husband is staunch on staying put for a long time. So, that's just fine with me :) I have gardening plans this summer and now purchase raw milk. You can homestead with just a backyard, and thats what I am doing. We also have a few house fix up plans in our future.

Youtube has amazing channels with how families grow their own food in their backyard; like tons of food in raised garden beds. This is one of my goals. One day possibly chickens and eggs again. We will see.
