The more I look at Christians and how they have suffered in their flesh, battling intrusive thoughts, even blasphemous ones, struggling with doubts, and feeling condemned, I am here to let you know that you are forgiven. As John Piper says, we all struggle with evil thoughts. These thoughts are not what constitutes your salvation.
As a Christian we have a war with the devil and our old man (flesh). If we submit to the deeds of the flesh, we will die. If by the spirit, we put to death the deeds of flesh, we will live. Are you struggling with thoughts you don't want, against your will? Aftraid God won't forgive you? At the cross He already has. This is the spiritual war that means to take the enemies darts to the obedience of Christ. Not your obedience, but His!
Read Colossians 1:15-20. All of the 1 God lives in Jesus. Through Him, all things created ever in the Heavens and the Earth were reconciled through Christ's blood shed on the cross. That is you! You are a part of creation. You were reconciled! But, you have to accept this free gift of salvation that has come upon all mankind. You have to say yes to Jesus, to be your Lord and Savior and to save you from your own sin and death. You have to believe He died on the cross and rose again. That He promised to draw all John 12:32 and to bring salvation upon all mankind.
If you have said yes and have not rejected Christ, you will never be condemned. However scary your battle. Take any thought captive to the gospel of Christ.
And lastly, for those who have struggled with a father loving them, Jesus is the Father! He is the Father, the One God in flesh! Father, Son, Spirit, the One God. He had to draw you first and He will never cast you away. John 6:37. He knew your struggles before you were born and reconciled all creation.
As many Christians say, take these thoughts to the cross. To the Apostle Paul's gospel to the gentiles.
They will soon disappear.
And place 1 John 5:1 on your wall. Read it everyday. God's word is truth, your thoughts are not. If you have come to Christ as God, "Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God." Much like the Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary, you have been born again. You will never be lost. There is no condemnation for those in Christ.
And lastly, if your flesh is failing (like it will in life) and you need anxiety medication because your brain is fallen. Because you need some help to rightly divided the word of truth, seek care for your physical body to take care of your family and your own walk with Christ.
God can never lie! Never! "All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved!"
"Jesus will never cast away one who believes in Him and comes to Him"
"The free gift of salvation has been offered to all mankind"
"You are a new creation in Christ Jesus" The flesh that wars is the old you.
Take comfort. The Lord has already been victorious for you. You can never undo the gospel. Men will be judged in the last day by accepting or rejecting the gospel on Christ's behalf for them.
The words of Jesus before ascending back to Heaven. "Preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved."
